Laura Novak, a 16-year-old at Harrison High School, finds joy in reading, and spending time with friends, and is always surprisingly in a good mood. Laura chose to take journalism her sophomore year to keep improving and broadening her writing skills and styles not knowing she would be contributing to her school newspaper, The Husky Herald. She has been discovering multiple parts of herself in her writing and hopes to pursue a career where she can share and enhance the opinion of anybody who is not able to through her words. Researching the diverse and the undiscovered is very important, but Laura finds that her role within writing is to engage the classic and general feelings of day-to-day people towards simple things like book reviews and recommendations because even the smallest actions can make great impacts.
